Hundreds of thousands of Tennesseans would have better access to health care if the state expanded its Medicaid coverage, according to a new White House report. At least 234,000 people across the state would have health insurance by 2016 according to the report, which looks at the consequences of states’ refusal to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.
