Highmark, UPMC reach agreement on end of contract

Highmark Inc. and UPMC have reached a transition agreement that covers how and where patients are treated after the contract between the health insurance and hospital giants expires at year’s end. UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside, Magee Womens, Passavant, St. Margaret, UPMC East and McKeesport hospitals will be out of network for Highmark members in 2015.
