Paul Nyquist of Nyquist Fantastic Alliance (http://www.nfamn.com) gives consumers the best approach on how to use MNsure, Minnesota’s State Health Exchange.
Bloomington, MN (PRWEB) February 17, 2014
With the vast amount of confusion over MNsure from business owners to individuals, Nyquist Fantastic Alliance (NFA) is offering their services to the Bloomington and surrounding communities as a guide and resource to use when signing up for insurance.
Paul Nyquist points out that there are several steps in the process, with the first and most important checking which level subsidy the consumer is eligible for by using the Kaiser Tax Subsidy Calculator. “We are here to help the community navigate through this process. If you are in levels 3 or 4, please call us for a free quote, as it is more advantageous to go outside of the Exchange if you fall within these levels,” said owner, Paul Nyquist.
Consumers in the 1st level (100% of Federal Poverty level) qualify for Medical Assistance and are issued a health insurance contract. The 2nd level (100-200% of Federal Poverty level) is MNcare with the consumer receiving a cash subsidy to offset their premium.
The 3rd level (approximately 200-300% of Federal Poverty level) is a MNsure tax credit and cost sharing, with the tax credit used as an offset to subsidize the premium. At this level, the consumer has the opportunity of choosing a health insurance policy with the companies Nyquist Fantastic Alliance is licensed with: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Medica, Health Partners and Preferred One.
The 4th level is greater than 300% of Federal Poverty Level and no cash subsidy or tax credit. “In our opinion it is best to not go to MNsure’s website if you are in this level, as there are three times as many choices available outside the Exchange. In addition, one does not have to deal with MNsure’s website, administrative concerns, or a possible breach of security,” said Nyquist.
Nyquist Fantastic Alliance (NFA) has been serving the Bloomington community’s insurance needs for the last thirty-nine years. Nyquist Fantastic Alliance is one of the top three largest agencies and one of six Preferred Blue Cross agencies in all of Minnesota.
